Pet Puja

Pet Puja

moritz A pet puja is one way you can make an everlasting tribute to your beloved pet who has passed away.  When our pets die, we grieve them terribly.  After all, they have been loyal, loving companions, and an important part of our family.  You can give your deceased two-, four- or no-legged friend (such as a fish) the gift of deep and powerful blessings, so that they are guided safely through the bardos and are reborn into a higher realm with auspicious circumstances guiding them in their next life to enlightenment.  This ceremony brings much  comfort in the knowledge that you have helped send him or her on to a good rebirth.
During this ceremony, 108 butter lamps are lit and special chants and prayers are recited for the good fortune of your pet.  This ceremony can be held in one of three settings: in the center of the universe under the sacred bodhi tree in Bodh Gaya, performed by ten to fifteen local monks and nuns; at the Odiyan Retreat Center in Northern California, performed by Lama Palzang; or at our center in downtown Berkeley, CA, also performed by Lama Palzang.

The cost of this ceremony is $108.  Your donation will be earmarked in full toward Tsethar International’s animal liberation efforts.  If you are interested in performing this beautiful ceremony for your deceased beloved pet, please contact us.
