Tamari Almonds with Arame
Serves six people
Ingredients
- 2 cups raw almonds
- ¼ cup tamari sauce
- ½ cup arame
Directions
- Preheat oven to 300ºF (150ºC).
- In a bowl, mix the tamari soysauce with the almonds the almonds, and let sit for about 10 minutes.
- Place on a cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
- Remove the almonds from the oven, then turn them over with a spatula and bake another 10 minutes.
- Turn off the oven and let the almonds cool down inside for about an hour.
- Remove the baked almonds from the oven and mix them into a bowl with the arame. Serve, crunch and savor!

Ants on a Log
Serves three to five people
Ingredients
- 10 celery sticks
- ¾ cup peanut butter(or creamcheese)
- ½ cup raisins
Directions
- Cut the celery sticks in quarters or halves.
- Spread with peanut butter onto one side of the celery sticks.
- Stick the raisins on top of the peanut butter.

Spaghetti Squash
Serves two people
Ingredients
- 1 spaghetti squash
- 2 tablespoons butter or oil
- Grated cheese or spaghetti sauce
- Water
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (about 180°C)
- Cut the squash in half and scoop out the seeds with a spoon, then mix one tablespoon of butter or oil into each half.
- Place both halves in a baking dish with enough water to cover the bottom of the dish.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 40 minutes or until tender.
- Remove the squash from the oven and once it is cool enough to handle, scoop out the strands of squash with a fork into a bowl
- Toss it with cheese or your favorite spaghetti squash.

Banana Pops
Serves four people
Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas, peeled and cut in half
- ¼ cup plain yogurt
- 1 tablespoon jam of your choice
- 4 popsicle sticks
Directions
- In a small bowl, mix the yogurt with jam and then transfer the mixture to a plate.
- Insert a popsicle stick into the cut end of each banana.
- Dredge each banana into the yogurt mixture
- Place the bananas on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and freeze for 4-6 hours.
